Don Burleson


Don Burleson is one of the world’s top Oracle Database experts with more than 20 years of full-time DBA experience.  He specializes in creating database architectures for very large online databases and he has worked with some of the world’s most powerful and complex systems.   A former Adjunct Professor, Don Burleson has written 14 books, published more than 100 articles in National Magazines, and serves as Editor-in-Chief of Oracle Internals. Don is a popular lecturer and teacher and is a frequent speaker at Oracle Openworld and other international database conferences.



Mike Ault

  Mike Ault is one of the leading names in Oracle technology.  The author of 14 books and hundreds of articles in national publications, Mike was the first popular Oracle author with his landmark book "Oracle7 Administration and Management".  Mike also wrote several of the "Exam Cram" books, and enjoys a reputation as a leading author and Oracle consultant.

Mike started working with computers in 1979 right out of a stint in the Nuclear Navy. He began working with Oracle in 1990 and has since become a World Renowned Oracle expert (in the words of his publisher anyway!) Mike has written 14 Oracle related books, dozens of articles, and has presented at conferences in Europe and the USA. Mike is a Senior Technical Management Consultant with TUSC - The Oracle Experts (www.tusc.com) and in his spare time is the Author for ROBO Books International (www.robonerd.com) a virtual publishing company. Mike has two wonderful daughters and is kept out of trouble by his wife of 29 years, Susan.


Robin Schumacher

  Robin Schumacher is vice-president of Product Management for Embarcadero Technologies, Inc., a leading supplier of database software tools.  Robin has over fourteen years experience in database administration, development, monitoring, and tuning with Oracle, DB2, Teradata, Sybase, and Microsoft SQL Server.  He has authored countless performance-related articles for many database-centric magazines as well as serving as a database software reviewer and feature writer for the likes of Intelligent Enterprise, eWeek, DM Review, and others. 

Madhu Tumma

Madhu Tumma has been working as Software Developer, IT Manager, Database Administrator, and Technical Consultant for about 18 years. He has worked on a wide variety of projects and environments ranging from mainframe, client-server, eBusiness to managed services. He has provided consultancy to variety of clients on database clusters, business continuity and high availability solutions. His experience ranges across multiple relational database systems. Madhu is frequent speaker at Oracle World and IOUG where he presented many technical papers. Madhu has Master Degree in science and attended Business Management graduate program. He lives in New Jersey with his wife Hema and two children Sandi and Sudeep.


John Garmany


Colonel John Garmany is a graduate of West Point, an Airborne Ranger and a retired Lt. Colonel with 20+ years of IT experience. John is an OCP Certified Oracle DBA with a Master Degree in Information Systems, a Graduate Certificate in Software Engineering, and a BS degree (Electrical Engineering) from West Point.  A respected Oracle expert and author, John serves as a writer for Oracle Internals, DBAZine and Builder.com.  John is the author of "Logical Database Design - Principles & Practices" by CRC Press, the "Oracle9iAS Administration Handbook" by Oracle Press and "Oracle Replication - Snapshot, Multi-master & Materialized Views Scripts" and "Oracle SQL*Plus Reports - Fast reporting with SQL and SQL*Plus" by Rampant TechPress.


Dave Moore


Dave Moore is a Product Architect at BMC Software, a leading supplier of database software tools.  As the inventor of BMC's DBXray product, he has developed many products that assist Oracle DBAs and Developers.  He has over 13 years of experience in Information Technology - as a DBA and as a developer specializing in Oracle, Java and PL/SQL.   Dave has presented at Oracle OpenWorld and is a frequent contributor to Oracle Professional and DBAZine.  He holds a BS in Information Systems from Western Carolina University.  Dave lives with his wife and three children in Austin, Texas.
